I dette værk bliver data til en plastisk masse. Ved at oversætte binær kode til lyd og derefter tilbage igen, undersøger sloev det tab og de forvridninger, der opstår i processen. Det er en undersøgelse af selve mediets materialitet og den usikkerhed, der ligger gemt i enhver digital oversættelse. Dokumentationen viser de tekniske setups og de soniske resultater af denne konstante transformation. In this work, data becomes a plastic mass. By translating binary code into sound and then back again, sloev investigates the loss and distortions that occur in the process. It is an exploration of the medium’s materiality itself and the uncertainty hidden in any digital translation. The documentation shows the technical setups and the sonic results of this constant transformation. A session that focuses on our understanding of information in a world where everything can be reduced to numbers – and music.
